Advanced Custom Fields is a plugin for building additional content editing fields throughout the WordPress interface. You can build custom metaboxes, site options, user profile fields, and term metadata.

WordPress 5.0 shipped with a brand new, block-based content editor named Gutenberg. It is a huge improvement for content editing, and will become even more powerful as more blocks are built in core and in plugins.

Block templates are one of my favorite new features in Gutenberg. You can specify a list of blocks that automatically appear in the content editor, and you can customize what appears in each block by default.

We call the new editor Gutenberg. The entire editing experience has been rebuilt for media rich pages and posts. Experience the flexibility that blocks will bring, whether you are building your first site, or write code for a living.
